Accounts closed by credit grantors

I have had 2 accounts in the past closed by the credit companies. A Home Depot card and a GE revolving credit card(not WM) They were always paid on time , but closed to due inactivity I assume. Is having your accounts closed due to activity good or bad in the companies light? Even with a good payment record?

Re: Accounts closed by credit grantors

It makes no difference to your FICO score.  Upon a manual review it can go either way but as long as the account had a positive history I wouldn't give it any thought.  If the lender dings you for have an account with a positive history for being closed by the grantor it's not a company I would want to work with anyways.

Re: Accounts closed by credit grantors

Ive had several that were closed by grantor during the crunch. So far it has not negatively impacted my ability to obtain new accounts.
