American Express will look you up under the Defense Manpower Data Center. It can take up to 60 days to reflect in your account. Amex will waive the fee for the duration of your active service. I’ve held the platinum for 3 years and have never been charged a fee. Also, if you have been charged, let the rep know and it will be reimbursed.
