Applied for Apartment....They are saying I'm Deceased! Help!

So...I've been rebuilding my CS for the past year. I went from 588 last year to 731 this year. 

So I applied an apt Friday and they called me today saying that they couldn't approve the application because it listed me as deceased. Which is weird because I just got a passport and just got a Chase Sapphire preffered (this card last week actually). 

Does anyone know what could be going on? I went up there and gave them my SSN, Passport and Birt Cert. waiting to hear back.

Are you saying that they received a credit report from a CRA that states you are deceased?

If so, I would prepare a statement that you are not deceased, and have it notarized and sent to the CRA, requesting correction of your credit file.

The FCRA has explicit provisions prohibiting discrimination against zombies and other undead.  You have rights -- avail yourself of them!
