Are late/missed payments removed from the credit report if the debt is paid in full?

If I'm not mistake, it takes 10 years before the late/missed payment is removed from the credit report. Is it removed from the credit report faster if the debt is paid in full and how much faster?

General derogatory marks remain for 7 years. Paying in full will not delete their reporting.
