Auto Insurance (hard pulls?)

I'm in the market for a better insurance quote (6 month) as mine is currently too high IMO.  Is there any solid advice on the best way to approach this with very full credit pulls?  Do any companies do a soft pull?

I know that Allstate did a soft pull on me.

All the auto insurance I inquired about made a soft pull.

I would complain.  They should soft for quotes on insurance products.

I agree. I would complain too.  LOUD!!  Did you inquire about a quote online?  I recently did inquired online, and it was a soft pull.  I always get my quotes online.  I don't deal with the middle person.

I deal directly with progressive, no agent.  Its been a few years ago since I got my policy with them and they did the hard pull.  So probably dont matter now.  But I think they can hard or soft and she did tell me upfront it was a hard pull.  But the inquiry is of little importance now.  But then I've also decided I dont really care what my fico is these days.  I have not pulled a score since I dont know when for me or hubby.  vicki

If a freeze is on your credit reports they have no choice but to soft pull.    I see my having a freeze is worth it after all.
