Biz question

Not sure where to put this, sorry!

I purchased a farm 2 years ago. The farm was already named but we were not sure if we could use the same farm name or not (even though a neighbor said who owns a farm said we could). The person owning the farm is not using it. The farm has a EX Credit Ranking Score: 84.

Since the name is no longer in use and the person does not even live in VA anymore can I file with the state to use this name and add LLC to it? If so, that would be absolutely great because they already have a file.

If you can assist me in this it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

You may want to call VA's State Corporation Commission to ask the legalities of it.

I'd guess yes. If I buy Big Bubba's Donuts, I buy the name, the location, the equipment, the supplies, the liabilities, any profits, and its credit.

Re: Biz question

Thanks!

I just called VA's State Corporation Commission and they said that the name was never registered in the State of VA and that if I want to register the name I can.
