I recently disputed lots of old collections..
Transunion no problem deleted them all.. 
Equifax for some reason managed to somehow verify 4 of them (when Transunion could not)..3 are actually medical $50 each which my insurance should have paid all with one company.
these collections now have new report dates..does this mean the fico computer now sees these as NEW collections and dings my score accordingly for a new collection?
It is hard to tell on my Equifax report as my score rose 29 points (not as much as i would have liked)but I had quite a bit of activity showing since my last pull...some lates removed on one account(I think I got 20 points back for that), a 120 day late that was on a closed zero balance old account removed, and 1 collection item gone.
