I know for a fact that the EX-based service through American Express (CreditSecure) does NOT update reports daily --more like weekly. And that includes Experian.

Since the USAA product is also Experian-based, I'm skeptical that it's a genuine daily refresher, even if we can pull reports every day.

For me these days, weekly updates would probably be enough. But like llecs, I miss the days of TrueCredit allowing all three reports to be genuinely refreshed daily. And I remember posts back in the day whining about having to wait 24 hours + 1 minute to pull again! Smiley Very Happy

Thanks HTSU. I wondered about the AmEx product.

So...and I apologize for my confusion...what is the best bet if someone wants to pull daily? Is there a good option?

Re: Cancelling True Credit...

I honestly don't know any more. I think that some people who got in a long time ago with some products can still pull genuinely refreshed reports every day.

But as best as I can figure out, the report resellers (TrueCredit et al) realized a year or so ago that it was costing them more to pull new reports every day than they were making in fees. I don't think that they ever anticipated how many of us would be hunched over our laptops, one eye on the clock, waiting to pull again to see if TU had finally posted the new balance on our Citi card, or whatever our current obsession was.

So it's quite possible that the current services that update every 3X-4X/ month might be as good as we're going to get these days.

I'm perfectly ready to believe that there might still be a credit monitoring service out there that really does pull a new report daily. I do hope that those who think that they have this will track their pulls and see if there are changes every day or three, as we used to see on TrueCredit, as each bureau updated each account on its own timetable. If you're not seeing multiple updates over a week's time, I don't think that you're really getting refreshed reports. Smiley Tongue

Zendough is also owned by transUnion.

Random thought: are they associated in any way with CreditKarma? The Zen/ Karma bit made me wonder.

I'm not sure how often their monitoring scans the CRAs for changes, but you can pull your 3-bureau CRs on a daily basis with USAA's product.  And each time you pull, it is a fresh up-to-the-minute report.

Re: Cancelling True Credit...

I'll definitely have to give it a try then, and let CreditSecure go.
