They HP me on EQ for opening the account. I originally didn't opt for overdraft, and they still HP'd me. I decided around a week later to app for the overdraft (as a safety net) and they HP'd me again on EQ .
I'd still probably do it again, though. So far I've been happy with them, and I actually just closed my brick and mortar checking account to use Capital One 360 as my primary bank.
Everbank and Schwarb both did HPs, without any overdraft feature.
I have 360 checking, savings, share builder, and IRA account. Opened mine a number of years ago when it was still ING but don't recall getting a HP at that time. I did apply for the checking overdraft in June ’13 and it was a HP on EQ. I only got $25 which was not worth the hard pull. Other than that I have been very happy with the accounts and service with no issues.

That's weird. Do/did you have any baddies? I applied with an AAoA of around 3 years on EQ (No baddies) and got $1000. My highest CL was $2500 at that time.
Yes, and my EQ score was around 580 at the time so that probably did have something to do with it.

I guess it's common practice nowadays then.

I'm pretty sure ally was a HP
Ally wasn't a HP for me. State Farm Bank wasn't either. I have a checking account at all three (Cap1 360, Ally, and State Farm Bank). Of all of those, Cap1 was the only one that was a HP. I also have savings accounts with American Express Personal Savings and Barclays, and neither one of those were HPs. Savings account with BoA wasn't either. The Money Market account that I have with State Farm also wasn't a HP.
