Hi everyone!
I tried to look for a similar topic but I couldn't find anything so here it is... My credit card (Capital One) got cloned somewhere in Europe. Plus, it was rejected a few times. I want to know if anyone got a similar experience. It is the only credit card I have here and it is kind of nightmare everytime a I want to pay, Im afraid something will happen.
Did you already contact Capital One to tell them about this situation and replace your card (with a new card number)?
Happened to me once (Not recently) but Cap1 contacted me about it within 10 minutes of attempted use/declined in Europe. Simple as it could be. They sent a new card, all was good.
Welcome new visitor!!! Sorry to hear of your troubles! ☹️ Hopefully you have contacted Capital One to have your card number replaced as suggested above. Plus if your scores and profile allow it, you want to get another card from another creditor. That will give you piece of mine without all your eggs in one basket. 🤷🏻♂️

My BoA Debit card was physically created out of thin air while sitting in my safe at home. Not once ever used, not once, my Debit card had been sitting in my safe. When I called the fraud department, they said that the card was physically swiped. I live in TX and it was used at a market in NJ. So, you can never be to safe with your stuff. Awareness is the #1 protection you have.
Good Luck!
I had it happen to two different Canadian cards, one of which has never left my home and only been used a couple of times online, both within a few days of each other two weeks ago.
Yes, of course I did. The problem -now- is that a new card is arriving to my address.... And I'm not gonna be back in a while, so that's why I wanted to know if sb else had a similar problem ---to see other resolutions and... not to feel alone on this
omg
This defenitly makes feel better lol
How could that happen?

I don't use debit cards, but I take it a step further (after destroying the card) and I logon to my bank's website and block/lock the card. If a bank doesn't offer this, than I switch banks.

Someone either has access to the database and sells the info, or someone hacks the database.
