Country door and Ginny reporting $750 ea

So a few months ago I was approved for a purchase on country door and Ginny websites. 750 credit lines ea and I purchased some small gifts. Was having trouble getting website to work for payment when it posted. Was hidden tradeline so didn't think anything of it. Had a death in family and lost track quite frankly. Just took a sixty days late ding on both accounts. . . Was finally able to get payments to post and paid both accounts in full. So my question in now that they r reporting will the report as paid in full? Or say as 60 days

If I had to guess, I would say that they will both post as a 60 days late on there.  Check when they do post to your reports and if they do post as lates, you can always call and see if they will do a Goodwill removal of the lates if you explain to them what happened.  Just keep an eye on as to when they post on your reports.

@Rayw23 Even if the account is paid in full, it will still be reported as the 60 days late. Once it shows up on your credit history, you can attempt to send out goodwill letters, contact them via phone and e-mail would be my best advice. Check out this thread here and scroll down to credit cards and click "Backdoor" numbers that along with https://www.ceoemail.com/ should help you. Good luck.

Given the issue, somehow I doubt that the OP is happy about these approvals!

I'm guessing 60 days.

I used to order from Country Door, Ginnys, and their other sites a lot--not because of their very generous credit limits, but because I genuinely liked their products, and their customer service was great. Not only that, but they have (had?) a lifetime happiness guarantee, i.e., years after buying something, if you were unhappy with it, you could return it for a full refund or replacement. It's that last bit that has me thinking maybe....MAYBE....if you call and try for a goodwill removal of the dings, it might work.

They're very, very nice CSRs, at least in my experience. Granted, I never had a late payment kind of issue, but I really think you've got a shot at talking to them, explaining what happened--including the death in your family--and asking for a removal. If that fails, you might try the written route, i.e., sending a hardcopy letter to their actual physical location, but I think a call might work.

Also, and sorry for this, but I have to do my standard admonishment here! It's *your* responsibility to make sure bills get paid. It doesn't matter that there were problems when you were making the payments, apparently causing them not to go through. It's your responsibility to check your bank account and make sure the payments were deducted, and/or check the account and make sure the payments were posted. I'm not unsympathetic to losing a loved one, but from your description that happened *after* the payment glitch. Going forward, you need to be more dilligent about verifying payments have been posted.

Good luck, and I hope you'll post an update. Based on past experience with this particular entity, I have a very good feeling about your odds!

Re: Country door and Ginny reporting $750 ea

Thanks for the feedback . Honestly without the late it would never have reported. Just wondering if it will continue to report or always show as it does atm. Will give it a month and call them

I wouldn't wait a month. The more time that passes, the less likely you'll be successful in your removal requests. I understand you want to see if it reports again, but I'm pretty sure it will--and even if it doesn't end up doing that, you're still better off contacting them sooner rather than later. It just improves your odds of success.
