First, I'd like to say that I've been "lurking" around the board for about a month and half now and have learned a lot of valuable info from all the members here! I wish I knew about this place when I started getting my act together last year.
Anyways, over the past year I've paid off 3 accounts that had gone to ca's. One was for a Cap 1 account opened in 1999, which I paid off in october. Well, I just pulled my ficos last week and the cap 1 account was paid off to a ca, but on the report for EX, it shows that the date of last payment for the cap 1 account was Oct. 07, and date of last activity was Jan. '08. So, I guess EX has reaged the account, since it doesn't show on TU, and EQ has date of last activity as June '01. I guess my question is what is the best way to dispute this? I don't want this stuck on my report if its supposed to be dropping off in June because it will have reached its 7 year. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
