US Bank

Barclays. I'll never app another one. Way too finicky and paranoid for my liking.
Same. I've applied for their cards literally over a dozen times throughout the years and have been denied every time. And the few times I called for a recon, they were pleasant but in retrospect also a bit condescending/patronizing. Really wanted the Sallie Mae for a long time, but with my BCP, Sams Club MC, and Amazon store card, there's no point.
Yeah I agree with hauling everyone I can from those and payday loan sharks.
Funny thing is I bank and carry USAA auto insurance but they won't give me a credit card even though we have three other major cards, a mortgagage and steady generous income. Maybe I should move my business to NFCU and GEICO . . .
I don't blacklist based off a specific company, if they fill a need I use it. I had a Credit One account for a year just starting out, and a Fingerhut account. I canceled Credit One and Fingerhut remains unused.
How do you find out if a creditor has you blacklisted?

By apping for their services and see if you are immed denied without a credit pull.
Chase - I had a credit card with them for 20 years that I closed 10 years ago. Recently decided I wanted "to re-activate" a credit card with them and asked if they would back date it to1986.
They said no go. So its the Blacklist for Chase. Other than a back dated CC, there is no benefit to me in having Chase as a creditor.
P.S. A poster here mentioned opening a few AMEX cards and successfully having them back date the cards to the mid 80's. Impressive accomplishment!
