DOFD/DOLA Question

Good morning all,
I understand the definitions of DOLA and DOFD but my questions is this:

What is the difference between them? If the Date of First Delinquent is the date the account was last paid, what is the Date of Last Activity? Would it not be the same thing? What is meant by "activity"?

Also, in regards to SOL, if the account was obtained (ie: a CC) in one state but you now live in another, which state's SOL applies?

Lastly, if this account has since been sold to a collection agency, do the DOLA and DOFD apply to the original account with the original creditor?

Okay, and one more question....if this account is past the SOL, how do I go about getting it removed? Who do I write to (the OC or the CA? The account is listed by both on my CR's, the OC notes it was charged off and sold) and how would I word it?

DOFD is the first time the account was late, or the date of service on a med collection. what is the Date of Last Activity? That's the last time a payment was made. Would it not be the same thing? What is meant by "activity"?

Also, in regards to SOL, if the account was obtained (ie: a CC) in one state but you now live in another, which state's SOL applies? The state you lived in when you got the card.

Lastly, if this account has since been sold to a collection agency, do the DOLA and DOFD apply to the original account with the original creditor?Yes - and the DOFD applies to the collection account in regards to how long the account can be listed on your CR.

However, a company may sue you before the SOL is up, whereby you would use the SOL as your defense.
