Re: Delay time from creditor reporting new balance to new balance showing up on credit reports...

Update: As of 3/22 neither Experian nor TransUnion have my updated credit balance for my Synchrony PayPal Extras Card. I have a user account with both Experian and TransUnion directly to receive realtime updates on a daily basis.

Sorry, one more update: Synchrony customer service has just created a request with their "internal credit reporting team" to report my current balance to credit agencies, and are telling me all of my reports should update with my current balance in 3-4 business days.

Re: Delay time from creditor reporting new balance to new balance showing up on credit reports...

Update: After Synchrony customer service opened a request with the internal team to have my updated balance reported to credit agencies, my updated balance appeared on my credit reports the next day. The "last reported" date for that account is, in fact, the statment closing date of my card (3/15), on which Synchrony was claiming my updated balance had been submitted to credit agencies. Could Synchrony have actually reported my statement balance as of the 15th on the 22nd, or did it all three credit agencies just happen to be delayed precisely 8 days in updating from the time Synchrony transmitted the update? I have a customer account with both TransUnion and Experian, so I receive daily updates from both agencies.

My Amazon Store card closes on the exact same day. It appears that they reported them but all the CRAs were slow in updating, at least for me. EQ reflected on 3/21 and EX and TV followed on 3/23. I never contacted them about it taking so long.
