Delete from CR?

If something is paid but is still on your CR, can you request it to be removed?

Re: Delete from CR?

Exactly, send GWs until they just want you to go away.

Re: Delete from CR?

Of course you can request it be removed, but the creditor is under no obligation to remove it.  It will age off naturally after 7 - 7.5 years.

If by chance it's medical you can follow the HIPAA guidelines.  Otherwise check out some GW examples on this board.  Make them as heart felt as possible in hopes of getting a CSR somewhere that will be on your side.

Best of luck.

Re: Delete from CR?

Should I send this heartfelt GW letter to the CA or OC?

Thanks for all of your help!

Re: Delete from CR?

To whomever is reporting.  an OC cannot delete a CA trade line and CA cannot delete the OC.

However, keep in mind that the collection notation hurts your score more than the OC post.

Unfortunately, one of them was a CA reporting. Sigh, so I guess I have to hope they remove it.

Never call a CA.

As bravo mentioned, send them a GW. Bug them until they delete.

Bravo,

What does this mean

"However, keep in mind that the collection notation hurts your score more than the OC pos"

If they leave a note on credit report about the delequency after someone dispute it?

A collection account is a major derogatory.
