Deleted account

I have a question! Maybe somebody can answer this. I wrote a dispute to transUnion, because the information on one account  was incorrect. Now I got a CR and a letter that shows, that they deleted this account complete. At first- has someone an idea, what was going wrong and second- I though it is not easy to cancel a account on a CR. Please let me now, what I can do to get this issue cleared.

What info did you dispute? Can you give us more details about the account? Open, closed, any derogs, ect?

I disput the past due amount, because since 04/2005 I'm making my payments in a hardship program. I disputed that this account is not a line of credit, it is a 2.Mortgage. I disputed the remark "PROFIT AND LOSS WRITEOFF".
