Call EQ. I know one major PITA. Smiley Mad And tell them no one, even you, cant pull your reports. You suspect a split file. Or "mixed" as I went thru that 2 yrs ago with them applying for a card. They have to go thru some things that bled over onto your personal info and caused this. They may ask to have you send in certain documents to prove you are you. Its going to be a battle with them being lame. Pack a lunch. This may take a while with the bimbos. Good Luck!

So when you say mixed file what does that mean exactly?

Re: Discover SSA 89

A mixed credit file occurs whenever a CRA inadvertently commingles the credit histories of two different individuals into a single report. The result is a credit report that contains information belonging to two different consumers, bundled together as if those two people were the same person. Which is probably what went south on you. You gonna have to call and get it worked out. Have the lovely EQ CSR (cough cough) go thru each account on your report and one may come up as not you. Or even 1 number wrong on your SS# could be off. Many thngs EQ can and do screw up.

My posts are JMHO. My siggy is not to brag at all. Just sharing my experiences after learning here from rebuild to recovery after BK DC at 540's. And to show fellow members what can be accomplished when you do it right and play the FICO Credit Game. Pay it Forward!

It doesn't even have to be similar names, aliases, etc.  Others have reported a different name/file altogether.

Re: Discover SSA 89

Or it could be a split file, as said earlier, where part of your information is on one file and part of your information is on another.

As said above you’re gonna have to contact EQ and go through hack and get it resolved good luck! EQ is definitely a PITA.

(Forgive typos, mobile.)(Everything said is Just IMHO.)
