I recently subscribed again to MyFico in preparation for a mortgage. I get alerts for everything on all three bureaus but EQs score does not change. There was a 52/53 point difference so I called MyFico. I was told then it was EQs issue so I called them repeatedly, fruitlessly and frustratingly (I seriously don't think they should be allowed to be the keeper of an ant farm much less sensitive information- hate to think of the circus they call a business pre-breach). Anyway, I gave up on that and through a search of the forums found a post I now can't relocate about buying a report to force a score update. I did and it worked.
Now, a few more alerts later and no score change despite the other two rising, I have the same issue. I plan to call MyFico on Tuesday but does anyone know whats up with this? Frustrating to say the least and to have to pay twice to see where I stand is not OK.
Are you talking about your MTG score updates?
myFICO's subscription only provide score updates for F8 in between reports. So you would not see any other score models change until you pull your next report. The scores seen on the dashboard for all but F8 will be from the last report you pulled.
In addition, alerts are spotty at best. Some people report better results but having an EX subscription that updates daily is proof that the F8 alerts you're supposed to get with a myFICO subscription do not come through timely and sometimes not at all. I've had 2 F8 score changes with EX in August and have not received an alert yet. Same with changes to TU as I can see the change in balances (which is considered an alertable event), sometimes 2 weeks before I get an alert from myFICO. But when you pull your report (purchase or part of your subscription), at that time they pull the information from the credit bureaus and will provide to-date changes/updates.
Side note: There has been numerous posts recently about problems with EQ data, not so much score changes.
My EQ F8 has not updated since I started with the MF product exactly a month ago. Other updates from EQ do come through without any issues so I suspect this is an EQ issue. I know my score has risen because I have EQ via Citi.
For me having up to date F8 for TU and EX is good enough, I suspect I will get updated EQ scores when my next 3B report comes.

It's not that your score isn't updating. It's updating constantly. It's just that you don't know what the updated score is, unless you fork over more money.
Here's the way it works: the MyFICO monitoring services provide a full report either monthly or quarterly, depending on which subscription you've bought. Until you pull a report you can't find out how your mortgage score has changed since the last one.
You get more information about FICO 8, because they attach your updated FICO 8 score to alerts about various things. If you want to know your updated EQ FICO 5 score, you need to spring for an updated EQ report, which I believe will cost you about $14-15.
Sorry, I should have clarified. My FICO 8 EQ has not changed. I know I'll have to pay for the mortgage scores when I'm ready.
I'm getting all the alerts, not always quickly, but I haven't noticed any missing other than my EQ score updates.

Its good to know I'm not alone. I'm just not OK with only getting 2/3 of my scores I pay for. Admittedly, I don't really know how it all works on the back end but if the updates (alerts) are happening from EQ, isn't it FICO who uses that to generate a score? Why would I need to buy another product (1b EQ report) to update it?
Just an FYI - A score change is not an alertable event. Although you may see a score change when you receive an alert, it's due to the actual alertable event and as a result of that it will provide an updated score if there is one at that time or occurred after a previous alertable event. Score changes due to age is an example of something that is not an alertabe event. So it may occur on the 1st of a month but not until your next alertable event occurs will myFICO inform you of that score change. Which is why you can't always determine what caused the score change just because you're provided one due to an alertable event that has recently occurred.
Although the links below clearly lists that score changes are not an alertable event). However TU is the only bureau that you will get an alert for a score change separate from a balance change or whichever alertable event may have occurred.

Although I've never had any issue with EQ, the plethora of post regarding them being a demon spawn has convinced me that if something seems off with EQ it is probably the fault of EQ
I learned something new by reading the bottom of the Alert Matrix link. Interesting.
Am I reading that right, that EQ only updates scores every 7 days? I probably should have also mentioned that the first time there was no movement it was for 3 weeks. I don't think it's been quite a week yet this time though.
I'll see if I can get any insight from the FICO rep on Tuesday. I will not waste anymore time on the EQ hotline to hell though!

And that IS interesting and helpful- all of it! Thanks for posting.
