What's going on with EQ and this security breech? I was told over a month ago I had a fraud alert on my equifax which I never asked for. Anyway, apparently hackers stole social security numbers and bank info from like 143 million people. This supposedly happened between May-June of this year. They found out about it July 29 and just announced it publicly today on Sep 7th. I'm wondering if anyone has found out their information was hacked yet or not and what EQ is going to do other than a free year of credit monitoring.
