Equifax shows my score 700, but Fico shows 588 How is this possible?

I have worked on my credit for some time,  a divorce and Fraudulent accounts took me down fast about 5 years ago, and now, I apply for a construction loan and was told i had a 588, I went to freecreditreport.com the same day and my lowest was 687, 696 and eq had me at 700. If FICO uses EQ how can there be such a discrepancy? Any info is greatly appreciated.

freecreditreport is probably using FAKOs.

Yes, and I have seen spreads of close to 200 points between FAKO and FICO, so FAKO may as well be furlongs per fortnight in terms of it actually meaning anything.

Mine are between 9 and 29 points apart. Others report 50 and upwards of 100. 200 is highly unlikely, but perhaps possible.
