Experian Reporting Cap One Usage

Hello all!

Does anyone know about this reporting of usage via Experian? I have been charging up the card and paying it off before statement cut while attempting AZEO.

Does this mean I am using it incorrectly?

Not using it enough?

So confused! Does this rating effect my credit score?

The second statement cut yesterday, so this is month 2 reporting.

Sorry if this goes in a different forum, like FICO scoring.

That is "fluff" from your CMS, I would ignore it and keep following your plan

Re: Experian Reporting Cap One Usage

So it looks like this has been on all my Experian accounts reporting, sorry.

My WS PCLL reported swiftly and didnt include my payment in the statement and that was marked "high" for usage.

So I am guessing it is marked "fair" for running it up and paying it down, as you can see in the "highest balance".

I wouldn't think $12 would be considered fair. I wonder it it marked the worst or current usage?

Re: Experian Reporting Cap One Usage

They introduced this a number of months back. It doesn't actually affect anything and all of mine have always said fair. 🤷‍♂️

Re: Experian Reporting Cap One Usage

Yeah that feature has been around for several months now.  It's still percentage of util that affects your score, Experian just chose to indicate usage in words instead of percent.

Below are their word categories; ranges are approximate based on what I've noticed on my EX report:

No Credit: 0 usage

Fair: 0 - 10%

Medium: 11 - 30%

High: 31% and up.

So "Fair" is actually "Low" which is good, scorewise.

That's not even set in stone from the looks of it.

Thank you both for the feedback! That also makes sense since my VS card said "NoCredit". For a minute I had to check my account to make sure it wasn't closed!

I finally got my first positive factor for my credit scores: "Low Revolving Credit Usage"

So I am very happy overall! They are usually all red and negative factors. I truly appreciate this group! I honestly probably would have never did anything right unless it was dumb luck in regards to my credit without this group!

Interesting.  Perhaps it's not percent as words, but dollar amount (meaning it considers the actual dollar amount of the balance and not the percentage of use in relation to credit limit when categorizing)?

Idk... odd.  Wonder if  Experian explain this in their 'how to read your report' section?   I'm on my mobile and don't feel like searching..lol
