FICO score at equifax website

I just got my FICO score and credit report from the Equifax website.  Is the Equifax website the correct website to get the info?

Re: FICO score at equifax website

Is the FICO score I got the same as the one that I would get if I got it from myfico.com?  Sorry about posting in the wrong forum.  I just noticed it right now.  ;/

No worries!  Folks do it all the time; we just keep an eye out and scootch 'em where they need to go. Smiley Wink

Yes, you can buy a FICO at EQ.  Or here.

There was a recent thread about this. I looked at Equifax's site and could not find an option to buy just the score. You have to purchase some type of monitoring service along with a score. If anyone can find a link there for the score only please let me and others know.

It's the same score that you buy here. The industry name for it is the Beacon 5.0.

Equifax is the only CRA that sells you your FICO in a straightforward manner. TU tries to sell you their FAKO, and you have to go to www.transunioncs.com <--note the -cs to buy your TU FICO. Experian won't sell you your FICO, period, as of 2/13/2009.  :smileymad: All Experian "scores" that consumers can get are FAKO's, unless they came from a mortgage pull or from membership in PSECU, a Pennsylvania credit union. (With luck, things will change on this.)

You can buy your score for $7.95 with the report if you have been denied credit or insurance. Might be some other reasons too now I forget. Google Equifax free and discounted disclosures.

But that's a score and report. You can't buy just a score by itself. Or at least I haven't found that option.
