File blocked for promotional purposes?

It looks like EQ has removed the fraud alert from my file as I had asked them to however it still says file blocked for promotional purposes.

How do i get this removed because it's causing ng me problems in my rebuild.

You must have opted out somewhere along the line. If you opt back in it should be removed. Not really sure why it would be causing you problems in your rebuilding though. Most people that are rebuilding want to be opted out.

Well I'm trying to secure a card so I can start getting some positive trade lines after our discharge and they are denying cause of it

Are you sure the fraud alert is gone? If so you can just opt back in. Should be updated in a few weeks at most. When I opted out it showed in a week that my file was blocked for promotional purposes. I got tierd of all the junk mail offers.

Yeah the consumer statement and fraud alert does not show anymore at all

Under the statute, a fraud alert automatically invokes an opt-out. 

Apparently, the CRA software does not remove that opt-out when the fraud alert is lifted. 

Simply send each CRA a revocation of the opt-out.

I just went to the opt out/in site. Would that work the same?

I personally have not done it that way however my friend opted back in the same way he opted out. With that online site.
