Good or bad move?

I have a 2nd medical bill that will be 1 yr old soon. This one is not showing up on my credit report. I got a letter stating they will send it to a CA if I do not pay. Is it safe to go ahead and pay them and not worry about it showing up?

Go for it, just make sure you get a receipt that shows the exact day and amount that you paid. That way if it is sent to a CA later, or appears on a report, you can show that you paid before all that happened.

Re: Good or bad move?

Paid by CC over the web, so I have the web page verifying that I paid and they send me an email with the invoice being paid. I can probably call when the payment goes through for an updated statement.

Re: Good or bad move?

I had an account with LVNV before I even knew of this forum. When I called to settle over the phone I kept getting the same CSR and he assured me that if i paid that it would come off my cr. I asked for it in writing and after calling him about 3 times he finally sent a letter to me and the cra to remove it. Persistence, just keep calling.
