On a whim I requested my Lexis Nexis report to see what they have on me. It arrived yesterday, almost 2" thick, about 500 pages!!!
I'm in my 60s, so they've had a few years to collect my data. There's sections for any data on sex offenses & criminal records, all "no record found", I haven't even had a traffic ticket since the mid 1980s. Sections for any professional licences and even hunting licenses, and that's the only error I found, they report I had a Nevada hunting license when I lived in Vegas in the early 2000s - nope, the only hunting I did was for loose slot machines in the casinos. And then there's phone numbers, 3 pages of any land line I've had since since the 1980s, but no record of any cell phone numbers or any record of my current phone numbers - Tracfone pre-paid for cell and Google Voice with VOIP adapter for my "home phone". A bit startling, several pages of my email addresses since I first got on the internet in the early 90s, including a business email address with an employer.
And then there's my mailing address, pages & pages of all my mailing address since the 1980s, with USPS reports about what kind of address it was - single family, apartment, high rise, etc. There's even 2 pages about the apartment I rented for 6 months when I first moved to Arizona in 2005 - the square feet, how many bedroom & baths, who owned it, how much the rent was. Really? Who could possibly care?? And they reported addresses in Baton Rouge & New Orleans that I recognized as my brother's, which concerned me for a minute. But then I remembered I lived and worked in the Caribbean in the late 1980s and I probably listed my brother's address for a U.S. mailing address.
But the bulk of the report is about all the properties I've ever owned, maybe 200 pages. I've owned alot of homes, I bought my first home, a condo, when I was only 23 when I lived in Ft. Collins CO in 1975. They don't have that, or the house I bought in Denver in 1977, records must not have been computerized back then. But they started reporting condos & a house I owned in San Diego in the early 1980s, and everyting since. And such detail - size, # of bedrooms & baths, even what kind of roof and heating & cooling they had, even that my house in Vegas had a heated swimming pool! I've owned my current home since late 2005, and that report is almost 100 pages as they report the county accessor's report every year. plus alot detail on the mortgage and the home equity LOC I got from Penfed last year.
In summary, amazing the amount of personal info they have on me, but in my opinion 99.9% of it is completely useless. Perhaps if I needed CIA type intelligence clearance they would glean through all that, or if I ran for elected office someone might dig through it looking for any dirt, but since I will never need security clearance and I've lived a rather no drama, honest life there a ton of personal info that is pretty much useless to anyone. But feel free to collect away, Lexis Nexis - there should be a new county accessor's report on my home soon.

Yep, it's free and interesting seeing what they have on you. You need to send them a letter requesting the report, the address & info is on their website lexisnexis.com, and takes a couple weeks.
Already filled out the request form and going out in tomorrows mail!
