ok, on those 2 open tl's are they cc or installment? if they are revolving accounts, what is your UT? high UT can keep scores from improving over time. also, if you have only cc's OR only installments, you may try to open an account of the other type (whichever one you don't have) so that you have multiple types of credit, which helps scores too. of course this would be after you get through your more pressing problems.

You WILL find a way, because you know you must find a way.  The fact that you are on this site is a step (may seem a trivial step right now) in the right way.  Inspiration to fight the good fight is what you need.  My anonymous advice:  1--make sure God is in your life.  2--refer back to number 1.  3--If you'll scrape together a couple of buck--go rent The Pursuit of Happyness.

I don't know where you are but try to call HUD housing and hopefully they can find you affordable housing.  Try all section 8 housing and then you can get food stamps, etc.  You have a job, then housing, then straighten out your credit.  People on this forum will help you but you must find home for you and children.  Hang in there and let us know how you make out.
