This is a silly question... but how do I check most recent pulls and how many? will myfico/credit karma/etc. update immediately with pulls?
After being in the garden since Feb 2014, I just joined PenFed and then app'd for the platinum rewards visa (Instantly approved for $8K). I also app'd for the duck card (got 7-10 day message) so I want to check the number of pulls and such, especially to make sure PenFed used only one pull to join and get CC.
Thanks!
Credit Karma updates once a week TU. Credit sesame gives alert right away EX. Both are free. EQ score watch on MyFico is the only one I know of. I'm not sure about PenFed.
+1 on Credit Sesame. Applied for a card a few weeks ago and the inquiry popped up almost instantly on their site.
CK and CS will give you info from TU and Experian (respectively) but not Equifax. If you want to check on all three then you're going to need to find suitable sources.
If you have Amex, the credit secure that they offered is one of the best. Monitor all 3 CRs, and unlimited pulls on reports.
Thanks! I have AMEX and signed up for credit secure!
Additionally, if you havent obtained your free report from annualcreditreport.com within the last 12 months, it will probably be more comprehensive, in that it shows soft pulls.
A good tactic is to stagger those reports each 4 months, rotating amongst the three CRAs.

Are the reports from annualcreditreport.com per calendar year, or does it count 12 months from the last time you checked?
Anyone know the cheapest service to find out who's softing you? A daily report? I don't need the ficos/fakos. Just to monitor the softs.
