Your post made me think about something..

"Put pen to paper." An idiom that will someday lose it's literal meaning and be one of those phrases our great great grandkids hear and roll their eyes like we did at our grandparents talking about walking to and from school both ways, uphill, in the rain. LOL

I actually did that!!! Smiley Tongue

Hehe.. I did too actually, but no uphill except for the side trips playing on the way home. When I drove the same distance to show my son how far (2.5 miles) I used to walk everyday, even in elementary, he was in awe and made sure to thank me for never making him walk more than 2 blocks one year.. lol

We're raising kids who will be ill-prepared for the world without those, and many other, skills we grew up with; I won't go on that rant, though. Smiley Wink

Were these legit lates?

I'll probably be laughed off the board here, but I am going to have to eat some bad things I've said about Capital One.
I, like almost everyone else, have trashed them on here before.
Well, I should have put some sugar on them words cause I've got to eat them now.  I had a couple of lates back in '05 and I sent them a GW letter.  I got their response today:  They are deleting them!!  I am stoked.  Finally.....FINALLY on this long road to credit recovery I get some good news.  Now if they will start reporting credit limits like they "say" they will, I will be hunky dory.

If you don't mind, what address did you use for Cap1.  I sent a GW letter to the customer service address back on 6-19 and last week I got my reponse.  "We are reporting you account correctly and we are closing this dispute."  If you had a different address, I would like to try it again.

Dragon:
I sent the letter to

Capital One Services
Attn: Credit Reporting Department
PO Box 30281
Salt Lake City, UT  84130-0821

The response I got back from them had the following address on the letterhead:

Capital One
PO Box 85049
Richmond, VA  23286-9228

The letter came from a "B. Medlin" - Customer Service.
Good Luck!!
