Important dates

I am working on my cr's and have a question for all...Which date do I need to focus on when trying to figure out what date something is eligible to fall off cr? Is it the DOLA or DOLF? These are old collection accounts which have not responded to PFD or GW. I am willing to pay, but if it will trigger reaging which could negatively affect me I would think twice about it. I don't want to be a deadbeat, but I don't want to take the FICO hit right now. Please help.

Re: Important dates

DOFD for EX and TU,  DOLA for EQ.  The removal dates should show on a direct report.  Keep up with the GWs on anything paid and derog.

What CA activity do you have going on?  Had you DV'd?

Re: Important dates

I have an old Verizon account from 2000 that AFINI seems to now want to collect on, but I am pretty sure the SOL has long since past. I have to do a little more research on this one. Funny thing...when I applied for my mortgage two years ago, it wasn't even on my cr's. I also have some an old cable bill (3-4 yrs) that got missed in the move out of state. Will cont. to read the forums and thanks for any advice offered.

Re: Important dates

Definitely know the SOL and DOLA/FD before picking at anything.

Call VZ see if they own the debt... I doubt it but check.  DV AFNI... they're pretty scummy... deal with them if they validate.

Always try to deal with OC first if you can do a PFD ... it gets rid of the majority of CA headaches.

Enjoy the forums!
