Re: Maintaining 18-20 credit cards

I maintain 19 cards, plus an auto loan, the normal household recurring expenses i.e. insurance, Wi-Fi, utilities... So,I change up the CC every few weeks. I find it easier to pay six small balances than it is to pay one large balance. Some cards are only used three times a year. Just enough to keep them open and when the rewards are at their best. Some CC have monthly charges billed to keep them active.

I do have a spreadsheet to help track balances and payments. Often, when you don't use a store card in awhile, they send you really great offers to come back.

I've wondered how those with strictly CC and have over 25 keep them happy.
