A few months back I purchased something electronic on eBay that just didn't work properly. It actually caught fire too. I tried contacting the seller and PayPal but the seller was just very rude about it and made it clear that they wouldn't help.
I disputed the transaction with NFCU and they are investigating but put a remark "consumer disputes this account information" on EQ.
I haven't seen this before, will it have any negative effects? If so when does it fall off?
Not incredibly uncommon. Some lenders place a remark on reports in instances like this.
It will drop off the report once the case is rssolved and the account is updated.
