Hi all,
Navy fed removed (1) 30 day, (1) 60 day, and (1) 90 day from my Equifax and Experian reports, but left (1) 30 day still showing on both that I wrote another goodwill letter for and will mail today. Should I still see a credit increase and if so around about how much? They were to remove it from Transunion as well, but there has not been an update like the other 2 when I pulled my reports this morning. It looks like the update was just done on yesterday 11/11/2016. I thought the scores would change the same time but nothing. All lates were from 2013.
If the 30, 60 and 90 day were removed in a "string" as in 3 months in a row, really what was removed was the 90 day late. The 30 and 60 were part of the same late and were not factored in. That 90 day late being removed would definitely improve your scores. Did you pull your scores before and after? If so you should see the clear jump and if not you can get your 3 scores from credit check total today for $1. How much your scores improve depends on the age of the late payment and how many other lates you have on your report. You mentioned having others on this account, but do you have lates on other accounts? 30 and 60 day late payments only impact score for 2 years, so getting rid of them that are over 2 years old won't improve your score, but they remove the eye sores that make your account "negative" in the eyes of potential lenders.
I'm going to suggest probably not much with the Fingerhut account there.
A 90 day late is a serious deliquency, and likely counts a whole lot more than a 30 day one when talking older deliquencies. If we just had the NFCU tradeline with the 30/60/90, and the 60/90 got removed and they were from 2013, I wouldn't be surprised if you got a decent boost, but with the other similar severity lates on there from the same time frame, likely not much. Of course getting ANY negative off is a big win, just might not immediately have a great impact on score.
Congratulations though on the success with Navy and also paying down your utilization, both are great things!
