A few days ago I went on a whim and decided to ask for an early deletion on my Transunion report. This was a collection account that has been closed since 2013. In my dispute I stated that the collection agency didn’t have the authority to collect the debt, I also asked for an early deletion. I log in today to check my dispute and I receive this message:
“We have discovered that your request requires additional manual processing. As a result, online delivery of your dispute resolution is unavailable at this time.”
I contact Transunion and the lady stated that this collection account has been deleted. I’m super excited. Experian is still reporting the baddie with all 0’s and no status; maybe I should try my luck. So anxious to see how much of an increase I will receive in my score. My Transunion has been at a steady 700-705 for many months.
Update: I refersh my Walmart Fico score and my Transunion jumped to 745, a 40 point jump. This was a collection that was suppose to be removed 6/16.
Nice, congrats!
CONGRATS!!!
If your TU (only) is clean try for a Barclays card if you are looking :-)
