I just realized that the Target card I have had for almost 5 years now does not appearing on my EXP CR. Why not? Should I notify EXP?
Also, I have one 30 day late in the last 2 years on that card. I thought I had mailed the payment but found out the envelope hadn't been sent, otherwise the last 2 years have all been on time. Why does it still show under as "Negative Standing" on my CR? Could this be because at the time I pulled my CRs my card was maxxed out?
I will have to check. I believe that when my card was lost, they re-opened a CC with a new account number so that there would be no risk of fraudulant charges. There was never any attempts at fraudulant activity wiht the first CC that was lost. So if it was 2 separate CC #'s would that constitute 2 TLs??
It shows up on all other CR as 2 lines.
Closed account and reopened because of a lost card could well result in them closing the old and opening a new. Perfectly legal for them to do it, but the ethics are questionable.
In answer to a question from your original post, it's negative because of the late reporting. If the late wasn't accurate, dispute it. If the late was accurate, try GW. If you're not sure whether the late is legit or not, try a blended dispute/GW letter.
See my GMAC letter.
