Overpayment (increase available Credit)

Hey forum, I need your input please.

I’m trying to temporarily raise my available credit over my credit line in order to cover a purchase that is obviously over my credit line. Is this posible?

Wells Fargo Credit Card

Credit Line $2,500

Expected purchase $2,630

I made a random purchase of $150 and waiting for this charge to post in order to make multiple payments to raise my available credit to $2,650, then try and make my expected purchase of $2,630.

Will this work? How should I make the payments? By what means?

UPDATE:

I made a purchase of $150, waited for that to POST.

Made the dual Payments, 1 via WF app and 1 via banking app using bill pay.

Now my available credit is above my credit line.

@Thomas201Tang I can see in the app that the available credit is now above the credit limit.

Kind of intrigued by your plan. Is the point of this to get cashback/points on the big purchase?

Yes, in this category, this is the best card I have for this purchase and unfortunately it’s over the set limit. Plus being an new account, it meets the SUB & 12 months 0 APR.

@yam1rts Glad your plan worked out for you but, why not ask for a CLI?

With your great credit score, why is your limit so low? a credit score in your range, your starting limit should be no less then $5K.
