Re: Collection Account for Original Creditor Account #: 315066000437xxxx
Amount: $29.00
To Whom It May Concern:
I pulled my credit report because I'm in the process of purchasing a new
house in the next 3 months and noticed this blemish on my report.  I am
willing to pay this account IN FULL if you agree to immediate deletion of
this account from any and all credit reporting agencies (Equifax, Experian
and TransUnion). The purpose of this settlement is merely to have this item
removed from my credit files.
If you agree to the terms and accept this agreement, certified funds for the
settlement amount of twenty-nine dollars ($29.00) will be sent to XXX Collection Company in exchange for full deletion of ALL references regarding
this account from my credit files and full satisfaction of the debt. As
certified funds will be used for payment, there shall be no waiting period
regarding the deletion of this account from the credit reporting agencies.
XXX Collection Company agrees to delete ALL information regarding this
account from the credit reporting agencies WITHIN TEN CALENDAR (10) DAYS
following receipt of payment as specified above and will not discuss the
terms of this settlement with anyone, excluding your client on this account.
If contacted by any third party, including credit-reporting agencies, XXX
Collection Company will not acknowledge that any settlement offer was made,
accepted or executed and will, in fact, deny knowledge of any such account.
If you agree to the above terms, please prepare a letter on your company
letterhead explicitly agreeing to the same terms as the above settlement
offer and have it signed by an authorized representative of XXX Collection
Company. It will be implied that this email shall constitute a legally
binding contract, enforceable under the laws of my state.
Your response must be postmarked no later than 15 days from your receipt of
this settlement offer or this offer will be withdrawn and I will request
full validation of this alleged debt, as provided for by the Fair Debt
Collection Practices Act.

Please address all correspondence regarding this account to:

and got this response:

Mr. bigdippin,
It looks like you have already spoken to a manager here @XXX and
unfortunately we will not remove this item from your credit once paid; we
will make it paid in full. You had 30days to dispute the validity of this
debt from the time the account was 1st placed with us which was 08/08/06. We
have verified that we have/had the correct address on you from that date so
therefore the debt is considered valid.
For further information you may contact your account representative, Sonia
@her number Ext 1030.
This is an attempt to collect a debt and any information obtained will be
used for that purpose.
Thanks,

Re: PFD Response I Got-Need Advise

The OC isn't on the CR at all except where the collection is.  It says under the CA info, the dates, acct numbers, and the OC.

Re: PFD Response I Got-Need Advise

Just ask your radiologist , in person if possible, to delete it, tell them that your life was in turmoil and offer to pay your past due bill plus collection charges if they will have the collection deleted. I just had a similar situation and my dr. took care of it for me.

Re: PFD Response I Got-Need Advise

I'll head up that way after work.  I have called them and told them that I'm trying to buy a house and this is standing in the way.  They told me it would be easier to go through the collection agency.  And of course, I got absolutely nowhere with them.  So hopefully I can get it taken care of.
