PFD and SOL

Can I send a PFD Letter if I am still within the SOL for my state?  I would like to pay off this credit card but would like to have it deleted.  The DOFD is 12/2005 and my SOL is 3 years for credit cards.  The card was opened in 2001. Also, if they do not accept my pfd letter should i just pay it?  I am trying to buy a house and I heard you should have nothing derogatory on your CR. thanks for any help!Smiley Happy

The sol has no bearing on how long it will report on your credit report (7 to 7.5 years) so if you PDF then you will be much further ahead on your credit report.
