Private Student Loans

I'm planning on attending a bachelors degree program in Respiratory Therapy next July (2008), which will pretty much restrict any outside employment since it goes year-round X 2 years.  I've already maxed out my Student Loan limit, and although I am attempting to get as much scholarship/grant assistance, I may need to borrow for living expenses.

I was curious if anyone knew of what FICO scores one can get a private student loan (i.e. through SalleMae) without having a co-signer.

The last I've checked, my FICO was at 624, and I've got about 15 months before I will start school.

I did a search, and according to a page on finaid.org, 2/3 of borrowers had FICO scores of 650+; 1/4 had FICO scores of 760+. The higher your score, the lower your rate.

Thanks, Skiffy...I appreciate your looking that up for me.  As long as I'm smart with my credit the next 15 months, I should be okay.

I got approved for a private student loan on this site: http://educatedborrower.com/ but you can search for others on here: http://www.simpletuition.com/home
My Equifax FICO was 637. I think they just require 2 years of credit history and no baddies. They also require that u have a job.
