Question on AZEO/scoring

Okay, so. I have practiced AZEO as a good habit since joining the forums about a year ago. I'm currently going through mortgage process and hopefully will be under contract anytime (I have an offer in now one on 🤞)

Now, I just used my discover card with my statement about to close without thinking, and it may report a small balance (like $20) along with my cap1 that is also reporting a small ($20) balance. Will this affect the AZEO "boost" I get? Am I understanding that right?

Even if I lose a few points it shouldn't matter for the mortgage.  My reporting utl will still be like 1-2%.

It may or may not report, but I would at least try to make a payment to the card if you can. Good luck!

Discover's online payment process does not allow payment until a charge actually posts (no longer in a pending status).  This just happened to me last month.  An annual streaming subscription fee was charged two days before my statement cut.  I couldn't make a payment on the website until the charge officially posted.  If it's important, one could consider "pushing" a payment from your bank account's bill pay service.

It probably won't matter, but if you want it to report zero just push an electronic payment from your bank account.

That is what I do for cases where I cannot over pay. Capital One lets one go 10-15% over the posted amounts when one pulls a payment.

Although it is too late now, sometime Capital One's bill payment can push the payment on the same day, if one has a Capital One Checking account.
