Quick question

Portfolio recovery agreed to delete my account got it in writting.... It is my only collection account though it is from 2005.  Once this falls off should i see a big score increase?  Also if it helps I still have three Charge offs from BOA and two accounts though thier not listed under collections from Verizon.

Re: Quick question

Welcome to the forums!

If you have no other CAs, you'll see a large increase. If you have other CAs, the points gained would depend on your overall history. COs, like your Verizon, would play into that.

Re: Quick question

I'm a tad bit confused under the collections section the only thing showing is portfolio recovery.  The two verizon accounts are showing under regular accounts.  The three bank of america charge offs have all been paid in full as of 2005 if that makes a differnce.  So would I still be looking at a huge bump because portfolio is the only collection listed?

35% of your FICO score is your payment history. All good and bad aspects are included into that including charge-offs, collections, public records, and so on. While removing your last CA will help your score, the points gained would be inhibited by the Verizon and BofA accounts (if a charge-off) as those are still hurting your score too.

Any guess as to around how many points I may see?

Re: Quick question

Hard telling without more info. Many see anywhere from 20-100 points gained with 50 or so being average.

What is the DOFD of the CA? What are the DOFDs for each of the BofA and Verizon COs? Are there any lates associated with any of these accounts? If there is, what is the most severe late and how recently was it?

Do you have any other lates on any other account and when and what were those?

Which CRA is this?

Re: Quick question

I'd hazard a guess of 60 points.

If you find out the change, post back!
