SOL, HELP!

Is there anything wrong with DV'ing a CA for a collection account that is past sol?

I hope not as I've just DV'd several that are past SOL, some that were not. The purpose of DV'ing past SOL is because if they can NOT validate, they have to remove from report. Even if past SOL, they can still report on your CR, until it reaches the 7 year mark from DOFD. If they validate, then we send PFD to try to get it removed.
 
Seeing as everyone suggest DV'ing if past SOL, I'd say nothing wrong with it.
 
If the CA isn't contacting or trying to collect and it ISN"T past SOL, they suggest not to DV for fear of alerting them that SOL is close to expiring. Wait until SOL slips by, b/c then you don't have no fear of them suing and winning.
