Update

Well, I just logged onto True Credit and pulled my reports, and I had those baddies removed. They were with a Student Loan company, 6 loans that were showing a 30, 60, 90 day late in September –December of 2004. I had to email them proof that I was in the Army at that time and eligible for a military deferral and they removed the late hits. They were showing on my TU and EX reports. My TU score went from 644 to a 689 so, who knows what the actual FICO score is as the TC reports were 45 points less than FICO score when I pulled it.

I am going to let the new CC hit, and then pay off my current auto loan, and then pull another FICO report prior to applying for my new auto loan in June. I hope it is up to the 700’s by then, but don’t think it will be. I can dream though. I am happy being in the high 600’s though, as I started this journey in the 430’s a few short years ago.

Re: Score's on the rise.

Update-

I applied and got approved for $130k VA loan, given I get rid of my $5,164 collection. I am still debating on what to do. It should fall off next March, so i may rent until then. Not sure if I am going to try a PFD or just let it age off.

Anyway, I pulled new reports as I am about to go home and I am at 700+ across the boards.

TransUnion - 723
Experian - 713
Equifax - 701

So, still working it up, so lets hope all works out.

Re: Score's on the rise.

Congrats!  That's a pretty solid improvement in the last 2 years.  Life is much better north of 700!
