Score simulator?

I tried the score simulator out and had a weird reaction.  It says that it would raise my current score 97 points if i were to bring down my utli. and keep it down over the next year. how acurate is the simulator? I only have 2k worth of debt which could be paid back over about 3 weeks time if i tried. This would put my score around 717

Re: Score simulator?

The score sim is very accurate in changes in overall utl-

It does not take into account-
Too many accounts with balances
Maxed out accounts
Baddies dropping off-

So this is really this is the min score boost-

Re: Score simulator?

great, going to live small for a few weeks and put the cc's in the sock bin. I knew that the CC util. had about 30% but man its not worth having them if it will keep my score 100 points lower. Thanks again timothy.

Re: Score simulator?

I agree with Timothy. Just getting the utils wayyyyy down will cause your scores to take a BIG jump.

In Feb.2007 my TU score was 521 with about 85% utilities. By July my utils were down to right at 15% and my TU score had climbed to 681. Nothing else changed except my utils to cause the score jump.

I think Timothy had an even bigger score jump than I did.
