My husband recieved an offer from a collection agency to settle a debt. Here is what they sent, there are 3 choices:
1. 50% discount "you only pay $160"
2. 30% discount "you only pay 5 easy installment payments of $45"
3. Installment payments as low as $10 per month if you qualify
Ok so my question is this collections shows up on his credit report. If we paid the $160 to pay this off will it affect his credit rating in a negative way? Also if we pay this off should we do a PDF letter? Thank you for any advice
