The day has finally come! Thank you all!

Fellow MyFicoers....

The day has finally come. Some of you may consider this post incredibly selfish,or an attempt to brag (somewhat is), however, today is a great day for me. I was just alerted that I've now joined the 800 club! With only 3 credit cards summing $66,000 in total credit, and an AAoA of 2.7 years. My scores have gone up and down over the years, some getting to 799, only to drop down because I reported a 0 balance (happend recently). I want to thank everyone on this forum for all the advice that's been given to me to help achieve this milestone. I'm hoping that soon I'll be at 800+ across the board. I don't plan on applying for anything new anytime soon, so hopefully I will see a huge rise in score when my AAoA becomes higher. I realize that most people don't really need a 800+ score (myself included... I've already got everything I want/need financed), but it sure is nice to be able to say I have it anyway.  Thanks again everyone! And good luck to anyone else in the hunt for 800!

Fantastic work, keep it up!  Hopefully when a balance reports you'll see all 3B scores at > 800!

Re: The day has finally come! Thank you all!

Congrats.

I am also doing a slow climb in my scores after last years jump.  My scores peaked in the 770-780 range for FICO 8.  I then leased a car and got two more cards.  My scores dropped so much you would have thought I robbed a bank or at least had a few late payments.

I have been in the garden with no wish to app for anything except maybe to get get a mortgage.  My scores keep rising and I see no reason I can't join you and others in the 800 club.

I have all the cards I need.  I may ask for some CLIs for some cards.  I currently have a CL of $52,000.  It seems so paltry next to some but I will only need more if I buy a house.  I would want them high enough so I can make a large purchase and still be under 10% utilization.

Keep up the good work.  I hope your example shows others that they don't have to go app for more CCs crazy nor have a CL higher than our national debt.

Congratulations,  this is a great accomplishment.  Hope to join the 800 club in a couple of years when our baddies age off.

Well done. It's quite satisfying to rise from the 600s to over 800.

Derogs from 2009 and 2010 now gone after 7 years. I started paying attention to credit scores in about 2014. It's taken a few years but credit scores are now good after starting in the high 500s back in 2011
