This is huge,CRA reporting limits

This is huge, with a little persistance I was able to do the following.I am new to these Forums but I have been reading everbody's concerns and how you help one another....GREAT STUFF! As you well know CITI does not report your HIGH CREDIT LIMIT on most of there cards! So I called them and spoke to there ranking customer service MGR to see what we could do.I was able, after speaking with him(Arguing) to get him to address 3 different letters to each of the CRA,with copies being sent to me as well; that my credit limit was $15k and that I dont just have a credit limit of$1253.00 and 100% utilization.
The card I have is a CITI WORLD PLATINUM AADVANTAGE

I will let you all know how well it goes with the CRA in documenting this info on my credit reports, but I spoke to a cust rep from EX and he stated,Thats all they needed to change the info from there end.

Thanks again!

Re: This is huge,CRA reporting limits

First I'd heard of Citibank not reporting CLs.

Re: This is huge,CRA reporting limits

While I am waiting for my letters from Citi,I called them to find out what cards they don't report credit limits on;in hopes to clarify the aformentioned quesions.Citi said, they do not report credit limits on cards that have the option to go over there credit limits, without penalty. You do have to pay them any amount owed above and over your limit by the end of your next statement. They also stated they have many cards with this feature.........Hope this helps.

I found out the same thing today, only the person who helped me was really nice. lol. Anyway, yeah... that's why they don't report our credit limits, which I still think is bogus. Since I don't have the time or energy to argue with people to get them to report my limits, I'm just going to switch to one of the other cards that they do report to the bureaus. The two I know of are Dividend and Diamond preferred. Take your pick. They can easily convert you to either of the two no questions asked.

Re: This is huge,CRA reporting limits

I used to have the AAdvantage AMEX with CITI...it did not report a limit. I changed the card to the Platinum Dividends MasterCard, and they said that the limit will now be reported.

Does anyone have the Platinum Dividends card, and does it report your CL?

Re: This is huge,CRA reporting limits

I don't have my card agreement with the rules on AA-MILES,but make sure they dont drop any miles you have racked up when you switch to another card. The only resone why I have this card is for the miles.

From what I understand, the cards with unlimited spending power [which means you can shop 'til you drop as long as you pay in full your overlimit balance by next month], Citi does not report credit limits for. As for the one's with penalties if you go over the limits, those are the one's they report credit limits to the bureaus. And so far I know these are reported:

Diamond Preferred
Diamond Preferred Rewards
Dividend Platinum
Professional

I'm sure there's more, but these are the one's I'm sure of.
