Hi All,
I would like to get a good credit card, to purchase new flooring for the house, $3-5000. I only have 1 major card, an HSBC that has a $10000 limit, with a $695 balance.
The APR on My next purchase would be 21.9%, so I would rather not use it. The $695 balance is at 12.9%
My scores are TU 714, EQ 800, EX(direct) 761. My TU score is down because Chase has not reported My (7 Yr old never late) mortgage for 5 months. The entire acct has vanished, but only on TU. I called Chase to report the problem, then recieved a letter a while back, saying that they would fix the problem. 6 weeks later and still not fixed.
If I go ahead and apply for a new major card, what can I expect the way My credit stands now? Who should I apply to?
Thank You
Hi again,
Another question is this, How could an active account (Chase mort) just vanish off My TU report and not the other CRAs? I've talked to TU twice and they blame it on Chase. The loss of this acct also adds an inquiry to the TU report by Chase, after I looked into a refi thru Chase, Because they now, are not considered an active TL. Does this make sense?
Chase just says they'll fix it, I would think it has to be a problem on TUs end. Anyone else had a similar problem?
Thank You.
I do not know what you should apply for, but if u looking for low APR card:
1. Ameriprise World Elite MC, 4.5% APR, $150 AF. Backed by Barclay which sux.
2. Addison Avenue FCU Visa Platinum , 5.24% APR, $0 AF, 1% CB.
3. A lot of CU cards with APR below 10%.
Good Luck

I not very fond of Chase Myself but they picked up My home construction loan at 6.1% locked, when My local bank would not budge from a 7.5% arm in 01'. After the last 8 yrs I think I made the right choice. My tri merge was 665 then.......My, how things have changed.
Those CC's You mention all seem to be hard to qualify for. I suppose the all of the good ones are. I'd love to join a CU but the closest one is 25 miles away.
I know that I should wait for the TU score to go up before I make the move but I'm just not getting any cooperation from TU. After thinking about it, it has to be TU's problem. Their computer system is not doing its job.
If they wish to make their money selling My information, the least they could do is keep it accurate! I also believe the FCRA has the heavy hands of big corps all over it. Congress brings the SUX! And yes I nag My congresspeople monthly.
Why should We have to spend so much time keeping the CRAs accurate? Inaccurate CRAs bring the SUX!
If We could have a SUX thread......I would like to nominate Verizon nth.
Thank You.
I went ahead and applied for a Citibank platinum select card, with as "low as 11% apr", online. I got instant approval but with 19.99% apr and $1800 CL. 0% for 6 months.
I'm glad I was approved. After reading around here, I'm not going to judge what I really got untill I receive the card.
I dont know which CRA they pulled, I'll report back.
FTRecord, This Really is an Exellent web site. Thanks MyFico!
