Transunion Says I have a Dispute When I Have Not Initiated One

Hi All

Very odd. I just got a myfico alert, which I check when I get them. And under my alerts it says that a dispute has been intiated on Transunion, when I have not initiated any... Has anyone come across this or know what this might be tied too? Thanks in advance...

Been trying too. But as usual its an automated system and no way to cycle out to a human...

Does it say which trade line has the dispute? If so call the Creditor directly.

No it just says:

An account under dispute has been detected 

Details:

What Does This Mean:

Accounts in Dispute

You are receieving this alert because we have detected account(s) in dispute on your credit report. By Regulations, the bureas have 30 days to investigate the dispute.

Yet I did not instigate a dispute...

Well whatever it was it’s been removed but without contacting Transunion you won’t know. Remember it could be an error that was removed also. You need to contact Transunion, they are the only one that can clear this mystery up.

Hi! Did you ever figure out what this was?This just came up on my alerts as well. I did not initiate a dispute either.

I have disputes with like 3 different banks, on all 3 credit b’s and I never disputed anything, all i’ve done was ask for PFD’s. It’s like any inquiry you have is considered a dispute.

I bet if you call a credit card company to say hi they will tell TU, EX and EQ that you are disputing your account.
