This month we’ve been working on maximizing our available credit. Neither my husband or I have applied for a new card in two years. We both have 730 plus credit etc. My husband applied for a new Bank of America card and got 8k and got a preapproval in the mail from Columbia Bank Elan Services (owned by US Bank) And was approved for 14k, he added me as a authorized user. Before this all of our other credit card accounts automatically gave us increases along with one soft pull increase of $4,500 on my end. I just saw a hard inquiry on his Transunion for a “USB FRAUD HUB HARD” Minneapolis, ma 55402. A few days before when we accepted the preapproval they put a normal hard inquiry for Elan that was expected. Are they concerned we are being fraudulous by getting a few new cards?! This has more than doubled our available credit. Anyway I’m worried! Anyone else?! All of our cards are at a zero balance with only a few having small balances.
